A picture is worth a thousand words. Sure, our former English teachers would admonish us for using a tired, old cliché, but sometimes that cliché just works. Take Bushkill Falls in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania’s Niagara Falls is too beautiful for words, so enjoy the beautiful photos, which just might convince you that this amazing park belongs on your bucket list.

Bushkill Falls welcomes visitors all year, except during the seasonal closure from December through mid-March. The park opens daily at 10 a.m. while closing time varies according to the season and the weather.

Bushkill Falls charges weekly and weekend admission fees for adults, seniors, and children. Visitors who are three and younger get in free.

A privately-owned park spanning 300 acres, the popular attraction receives no public funding and uses the profits from admission and other fees to maintain the park.

When you're ready to explore, make sure you pay attention to the park signs for your own safety and for the safety of others. Wear comfortable and sturdy shoes, too, for your journey through the park.

You'll also find several fun, family-friendly activities at Bushkill Falls, so make a day (or a weekend) of it at the park. Go fishing. Rent a paddle boat. Mine for gemstones, or play a few rounds of miniature golf.

Falls Trail in Ricketts Glen State Park will take you to 21 breathtakingly beautiful waterfalls. Clocking in at just over seven miles, Falls Trail is challenging, but if you’re up for the challenge you are in for an amazing experience. If you’re not up for the challenge, on the other hand, follow the shorter and easier 3.2 mile Highland Loop Trail. It, too, will give you a glimpse of all 21 waterfalls including the tallest. Ganoga Falls cascades down 94 feet.
