As Another Winter Storm Heads Straight For Portland We’re Reminded To Be Like Nora

It was just last week that Portland received a storm that gave residents in the metro area an unexpectedly long weekend. If you felt like the ice and snow were beginning to melt away, then we’re sorry to report that you can expect to see more frigid weather this week. With chilly predictions from the U.S. National Weather Service, you’re going to want to stay bundled up for the next several days!

While the thought of more cold weather might bring frozen tears to your eyes, not everyone is bothered by these frigid temperatures. Oregon Zoo’s one-year-old polar bear Nora played in the snow for the first last week! In a video the zoo uploaded to YouTube, you’ll see Nora frolicking in the snow and rubbing her face in it.

We may not enjoy seeing forecasts like the current one, but let our adorable Nora be a reminder that we’re lucky to have a variety of seasons in the state of Oregon! Instead of groaning over the snow we’re expected to get this week, grab your snowsuit out of storage and bundle up! There will most likely be a winter wonderland for you to play in before the week is over.
