Take A Ride On The Steepest Four-Person Gondola In North America At Oregon’s Wallowa Lake Tramway
Are you looking for an awesome Oregon adventure? The Wallowa Lake Tramway opens in late May every year, and we can’t wait to soak in the scenic views. The tram was the steepest four-person gondola in all of North America when it was built in 1970, and it’s right here in our own backyard!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
Learn more about the Wallowa Lake Tramway on its website, and give its Facebook page a follow to see what’s new there.
Have you ridden the tramway to the top of Mt. Howard? We’d love to hear about your trip to Wallowa Lake. Share your pics in the comments, too!
