The Wahkeena Falls Loop Trail In Oregon Is A Winter Hike You Won’t Want To Miss
Wintertime is still hiking time here in Oregon, and you’ll find plenty of great trails to explore. The Wahkeena Falls Loop Trail is particularly pretty this time of year, so bundle up, lace up your boots, and head for the Columbia River Gorge.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. The Wahkeena Falls Trail is 5.6 miles, out and back, and it's considered a moderately-difficult hike.

This trail is often crowded, but on chilly winter day, you won't find as many people here, especially if you can break away for an afternoon hike on a weekday.

Photos of Wahkeena Falls are featured in many guide books and on tourism websites.

You'll find other smaller, unnamed waterfalls along this trail, too!
