Located just off of exit 40 on the I-84, this easy, beautiful trail takes less than an hour to reach from Portland. Next time you’re feeling adventurous, lace up your hiking boots and head to the gorgeous Wahclella Falls for an unforgettable summer hike.

Park at the Wahclella Falls Trailhead, located just off exit 40 on the I-84.

The trail will lead you along this serene, beautiful creek.

On the way to Wahclella Falls, you'll pass incredible waterfalls, footbridges, moss-covered boulders, caves, and more.

In the summertime, you can find wildflowers blooming in patches of sunlight.

The landscape is incredibly green, and ethereal waterfalls cascade over huge, mossy rock walls.

At the farthest tip of the loop trail, the immense Wahclella Falls will astound you with its beauty.

Walk down to the cool, misty basin of the waterfall. On a hot day, you may want to take a dip in the refreshing turquoise water.
This easy, lovely hike is only 2 miles round trip, although it’s unfortunately not ADA accessible.
