12 Surprising Things You Never Thought About Doing In Oregon
Oregon has a lot to offer when it comes to recreation, from mountain sports to wine tasting in the Willamette Valley and walks on the beach. There are all sorts of new experiences to be had, including ones you may not usually think of when you’re brainstorming how to spend your day. As it turns out, you don’t have to leave the state to stay overnight in a treehouse, take a glass-blowing class, or taste 170 flavors of salt water taffy. Here are 12 awesome ideas for things to do in our beautiful state–and some wonderful new experiences to be had.
12. Spend the night in a tree house.
At Out'n'About Treesort near Cave Junction, you can stay overnight in your very own treehouse. It's like a real-life Lothlorien! (All my fellow nerds know what I'm talking about).
11. Walk the streets of a ghost town.

10. Go zip lining!

When the tide is low, head over to Fort Stevens to see the 100-year-old remains of the magnificent Peter Iredale.

The Candyman in Seaside has an incredible amount of saltwater taffy (as well as other sweet treats), and it's a great place to take the little ones.
