Pacific City, Oregon is in Tillamook County. It's south of Tillamook and north of Depoe Bay and Lincoln City.
There are three amazing natural areas in Pacific City. One is Bob Straub State Park. This 484-acre state park is named for former Oregon Governor Robert W. Straub. It's a beachfront state park that offers opportunities for swimming, wildlife watching, fishing, horseback riding, and more.
Off the coast and kind of behind the town, there's also a 888 national wildlife refuge. Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge includes seven types of habitat including tidal marsh, tidal mudflats, grassland, woodland, pasture, forested lagg, and freshwater bog. It provides homes for many animals and it's a great place to watch them.
The most popular natural attraction in Pacific City, though, is Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area. It offers incredible views and interesting rock formations, including Haystack Rock, which is reminiscent of the rock by the same name in Cannon Beach.
