Oregon is a foodie’s paradise, from the fanciest five-star restaurants in Portland to the delicious seafood with a view on the coast, to the tasty steakhouses all over the state. There’s a little family-owned restaurant in Pendleton that serves up some of the best breakfast, burgers, and steaks you’ve ever tried. It might be a bit of a drive, but folks here are willing to go out of their way to visit Roosters Country Kitchen.
Roosters Country Kitchen opened its doors in 1996, and it's garnered all kinds of love and attention ever since. You'll find it in Pendleton, and it's worth the drive!
Stop in for breakfast, and dig into a stack of homemade buttermilk pancakes, an omelet with a side of homemade hash browns, or some biscuits and gravy with - you guessed it - made-from-scratch biscuits.
The lunch menu includes an array of sandwiches, salads, and soups, plus the legendary burgers. You'll definitely want to spoon up some of the homemade chicken noodle soup here...
You don't need a fancy steak house to get a delicious beef tenderloin; the seven-ounce choice cut is grilled to perfection and served with a baked potato with chive butter.
Other options include pasta, halibut, and comfort food like chicken fried steak, Yankee pot roast, and fried chicken.

If you've got the kiddos with you, they'll want to spend some time playing in the "barn," and once they're done with their meals, they can pop in to grab a free ice cream.
