Why Portland Is The Best Vacation City In America
We all love our city and know it is awesome. But if you are from somewhere else and on the fence about whether you should come here or another city, here are the reasons why Portland is the best place for your vacation.

Sure, other cities have waterfronts, but none quiet as picturesque at Portland. No matter where you are on the waterfront, you will never tire of the bridges, buildings and beautiful waterfront area.

With 58 breweries in the city and 84 in the metro area, you certainly have your pick of locally made microbrewed craft beer, and beer lovers rejoice.

We love our food in Portland and you will never run out of great restaurants to try. A week is hardly enough to hit the iconic spots, let alone all the hole-in-the-wall gems.

And when you get done with the brick and mortar restaurants, you can do another couple weeks eating your way through all the amazing foods carts. Not that you have that much time on vacation, but in food dreams you will conquer the food carts.

Portland is a bike city and you can hop on a bike all around town and ride to your destination. If you aren't into that, you can also just hop on the Max or Streetcar and forget about driving during your trip.

We have trendy neighborhoods on lock. Whether you are at Division/Clinton, Alberta, Mississippi, Hawthorne, or the Pearl, there are boutique shops to explore for days.

Forest Park is our biggest park, but that is not all we have to offer. Portland is filled with city parks and nature breaks everywhere you look. If you want to explore more, head east to Multnomah Falls or any of the many other waterfalls on the Columbia River Scenic Highway or continue on to Mt. Hood for sporting galore.

We do farmers markets big in Portland. The PSU market will put you in foodie heaven and with all the sampling you might even skip lunch.

This block size bookstore is everything you ever need in books. Browse the amazing selection on every subject you can think of, and enjoy every minute of it.

Whether you want to stay in a tiny house, boutique hotel, or floating house, Portland has a fun and funky lodging option for you to make your stay memorable.
Because of the above reasons and more, Portland is an amazing place for visitors and for those who are lucky enough to call it home.
