Most People Don’t Know There’s A Little Statue of Liberty Near Portland

When you think of Milwaukie, the sleepy city directly south of Portland, you probably don’t think of the one of the most recognizable statues on the planet. Said to be the birthplace of the Bing cherry, Milwaukie is home to just 20,000 residents, is a notable close-in Portland suburb, and is surprisingly home to our very own Statue of Liberty replica.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date.
