The Holiday Express Train Ride In Portland That Will Take You On An Unforgettable Adventure
The adventure of the season awaits you on the Holiday Express train ride in Portland. This fun event creates lasting memories and gives you an up close and personal experience riding this historic train along with none other than Santa and his team of elves. Ride along for the fun on the Oregon Pacific Railroad for this annual excursion of merriment, and make wonderful holiday memories for you and your family.

From there you will travel along the rails through both wilderness and city for an epic adventure of fun.
The train travels through the Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge to the Springwater Trail gateway.
The scenic trip lasts about 45 minutes, and is a perfect getaway right in the heart of the city.
Santa will pay a visit along the way, much to the delight of all the kids onboard.
Whether you select a morning, afternoon or evening trip, there is something magical about each departure.
You will travel in a vintage train car pulled by a historic steam locomotive.
The train and waiting area are heated, but you are going to want to dress warmly in outdoor clothing and closed toed shoes for the journey.
There will be refreshments for sale before and after the trip at the station.
And if you plan it right, you can even combine the ride with a trip to Oaks Park Skating Rink while you are there.
All proceeds from the event go to the Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation.
This all-volunteer non-profit organization is working raise the funds to build a new home for Portland's three steam locomotives.
The Holiday Express will be chugging out of the station November 24 and 25, and then every Saturday and Sunday in December through December 17.
