This Sunset River Adventure In Oregon Is Nothing Short Of Pure Magic
Do you love Oregon’s beautiful rivers? And do you love Oregon’s incredible craft beers? If you answered “Yes!” to both questions, we have the adventure of your dreams. Read on to find out more about the best tour you’ll ever take in the Beaver State:
The Paddled Pub is a company operating out of Grants Pass. They offer tours down the Rogue River in a special 20-foot raft with a custom bar.
This little raft is set up with two counters so that you'll have a place to sit your beer during the trip. It's covered with a shady awning to keep you out of the direct sunlight, and it's navigated by an oarsman who will guide you right down the river.
The company has teamed up with Climate City Brewing Company to offer you some of the tastiest brews in the state.
Your trip starts at the brewery at 509 SW G Street, Grants Pass, OR 97526. It includes two growlers full of beer, and before you head out, you'll choose one or two varieties to enjoy along the way. If you'd rather have wine, you can choose one variety to accompany you on the float trip. You're also welcome to bring water and non-alcoholic beverages aboard.
The Paddled Pub offers two trips: an afternoon float and a sunset float. You'll take a brief ride in the van to get to the Rogue River, followed by an orientation. Then you'll hop aboard for a two-hour float down the river.
The afternoon float leaves Climate City Brewing Co. at 1 p.m. and returns at 4:30 p.m. A light snack is provided during the trip.
The sunset float provides spectacular sunset views.
It leaves Climate City Brewing Co. at 5:30 p.m. and returns at 8:30 p.m. The sunset float includes dinner on the river!
You'll see some pretty scenery and enjoy some delicious craft beer on your float trip down the river... but most of all, you'll have a blast with your friends along the way.
The two-hour float takes you about seven miles down the river. Your guide is entertaining and full of information about the river, and you might even see some wildlife. You'll also experience a few small rapids before your trip is over.
Arrive ready to have fun!
You'll want to wear clothing that can get wet, including sandals or water shoes, because some splashing may be involved. Bring along some sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat, and if the weather is cool on the day of your trip, you might also need a jacket. In addition to the right clothing and gear, bring along a great attitude and your favorite friends - this trip is just pure fun.
At the end of your trip, the van will take you back to Climate City Brewing Co.
You might want to go on inside and enjoy some more beer! Or, if you've taken the afternoon float trip, you can enjoy a delicious dinner there. The restaurant is open until 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and until 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday. You must be 21 years or older to enjoy a float trip with The Paddling Pub.
