Everyone In Oregon Absolutely Loves These 12 Foods And Drinks
Here in Oregon, we’re a bit spoiled when it comes to food and drinks. With all of the amazing local farms, breweries, vineyards, coffee roasters, creameries, and restaurants, Oregon is a foodie paradise. We have award-winning wine, seafood, ice cream, coffee, and more, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! Here are 12 delicious foods and drinks that most Oregonians dearly love.
12. Handmade ice cream
Oregonians love a good scoop of ice cream. There are many wonderful ice creameries all around the state with unique flavors and overall great quality desserts. Here's a photo of Fifty Licks, an awesome Portland-based ice cream shop & truck.
11. Dungeness crab

The hazelnut (AKA filbert) is Oregon's official state nut. (Oregon is also the only state in the U.S. to have a state nut.) The nuts are healthy and delicious, especially used in chocolate truffles, baked goods, nutella, and other treats.

Dave's Killer Bread is a deliciously seedy, flavorful, organic, non-GMO whole grain bread that is absolutely wonderful. Many Oregonians eat this bread daily, and the company is headquartered in Milwaukie.

Tillamook Creamery is a based in Tillamook, Oregon, and it's products are absolutely delicious!
6. Pinot Noir
Willamette Valley (AKA Oregon's Wine Country) is known for it's amazing vineyards. Oregon produces some really incredible wine - and pinot noir in particular. This photo is of the Crowley Station Vineyard's 2013 Pinot Noir Harvest.
5. Wild mushrooms
One small but great perk about living in Oregon is the availability of fresh, wild picked mushrooms. Many local restaurants serve wild mushroom dishes, or you can find them in markets or go pick them yourself (with some guidance of course).
4. Local fruits and veggies
There are tons of great farms and farmers markets all over Oregon where you can get fresh (and often organic) produce that is really as good as it gets.

Eat them fresh, bake them in a pie... Marionberries are absolutely delicious, and they were actually created in Oregon, at Oregon State University. Oregon also produces over 90% of all marionberries. This photo is of a bunch of yummy berries that were hand picked at Sauvie Island.

Based in Central Point, Rogue Creamery is one of Oregon's many amazing creameries and cheese makers, and their products are out-of-this-world delicious. Try their artisanal blue cheese.
