The Adventure Ranch In Oregon That’s Perfect For A Family Trip

Are you ready to put down your cell phone, turn off the TV and video games, and head to a remote ranch where you can play outdoors and get some fresh air? Here’s a ranch that’s surrounded by natural beauty, and it offers plenty of adventure for every member of the family.

New Frontier Ranch is an oasis tucked away in the forest near Ashland.

At first glance, this gorgeous ranch seems almost untouched by modern trappings.

You can go for a horse ride across the meadow and feel like you're right back in the 1800s. In fact, this ranch was established in the 1850s and you can still see wagon tracks along the hiking trail. You can even explore a few old buildings on the property!

You'll have several lodging choices. You can stay in a teepee and sleep on the ground in your sleeping bag for a unique experience the kids will love.

Or, bring your own tent or RV to the campground. The resort will even supply you with complimentary firewood.

For a glamping experience, try a "Bunkalow." It's a wall tent equipped with cozy beds and its own little deck.

Campers will enjoy indoor restrooms and hot showers.

If you're looking for more cozy accommodations, reserve one of the three cabins onsite.

Each cabin features comfy beds, fully-stocked kitchens, and fireplaces so you can snuggle up in front of a blazing fire every night.

Drop a line in the lake or borrow a kayak or paddle boat to explore. If it's warm enough, you can even take a swim, but beware - this pretty lake is cold!

There's no end to the adventures you'll find here. Take a hike on one of two trails or test your skills on the obstacle course.

Make no mistake - this is a real, working ranch, and you'll see the owners working firsthand.

Say hello to the chickens...
