8 Main Streets In Oregon That Are Pure Magic During Christmastime
Oregon’s cities are absolutely beautiful during the holidays. Downtown, streets are lit up with twinkling lights, christmas trees glitter majestically, and the smells of snow, pine, and hot cocoa drift through the air. When Christmastime comes around, these 8 wonderful main streets and downtown areas are simply magical:
8. Main Street, Ashland
Downtown Ashland is a magical place to be around christmastime. The streets are dressed up in wreaths and twinkling lights, and all kinds of wonderful holiday events take place around the city, including an Artisan's Christmas Faire, a festival of lights, and there's even an outdoor ice skating rink!
7. Old Mill District, Bend
Every year, the fabulous Old Mill District in Bend is transformed into a gorgeous winter paradise, complete with glowing lights, carolers, carriage rides, and more.
6. Third Street, McMinnville
McMinnville is a beautiful town in the heart of Oregon's wine country, and every winter Third Street gets decked out in holiday decorations. There's also a community christmas tree, and numerous holiday festivities throughout town.
5. Main Street, Baker City
The charming, historic town of Baker City is a true winter wonderland at christmastime. The Main Street is beautifully decorated with wreaths, ribbons, and glittering lights -- when the snow sprinkles down, it seems straight out of a storybook! There's also a parade, christmas market, festival of trees, and more.
4. Downtown Cannon Beach
This fantastic seaside town is fabulously festive in the wintertime. Head downtown to see amazingly decorated buildings and a big, beautiful christmas tree.

Another great downtown area to visit around christmas is the historic Jacksonville. There's a Victorian Christmas Parade, carolers, a tree lighting ceremony, trolley rides, and more (mostly taking place on or around California Street).

The wonderful little town of Sumpter is magical in the winter. Downtown, there's a huge christmas tree AND a great christmas parade.

Florence is an enchanting coastal town that gets wonderfully festive for the winter. The historic Old Town is beautifully decorated and has its very own community christmas tree.
