If you love chocolate, you probably already know about Goody’s Chocolates and Ice Cream in Bend and Sun River, but if you’ve never visited its factory, you’re going to want to stop by. You’ll learn all about chocolate and how it’s made, and you’ll even get a free sample. Check it out:
Goody's Chocolates and Ice Cream has three locations, but if you've never seen how the chocolates here are made, you're going to want to visit the factory store and corporate headquarters on Division Street.
Do you know how chocolate is made, and where it comes from? You'll learn on this quick little self-guided tour at the factory. See a cacao tree, find out what a cacao bean looks like, and learn how chocolate is made from it...
One of the most interesting parts of the tour is the large window where you can stand and watch the chocolatiers at work. See them creating the delicious chocolates right there!
When you go back into the store portion of the factory, you'll see all the beautiful creations in the display case, and have a better understanding of how they got there. Oh, and don't forget...you'll get to choose a free sample!
Self-guided tours are available at the factory Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Groups of 10 or more can request a guided tour that offers even more information about Goody's chocolates.
