The Tiny Cafe In The Middle Of Nowhere That Serves The Best Milkshakes In Oregon

Feel like taking a road trip with a tasty payoff? This little cafe is in the middle of nowhere, but it serves the best milkshakes, burgers, and fries that you’ve ever tasted. Gas up the car and head out!

You'll find Fields Station Cafe in the tiny town of Fields, located near the Oregon/Nevada border in the southeastern part of the state.

Fields was founded in 1881 but never grew very large. A stagecoach station was the main reason to stop, and it's still there today, though now it's the Fields Station with a cafe, gas station and store.

Fields truly is a remote place, and it's home to only about 100 people, but the sweeping desert vista and huge sky above might just make you fall in love with this scrappy little place.

You can still see the remnants of the old horse barn here.

The cafe is as tiny as the town, but it's clean and comfortable, and the service is friendly.

Sit right up and watch them make your meal just a few feet away.

The milkshakes are the star of the show here, and they come right in the aluminum cup that they were mixed in — the old-fashioned way.

These shakes are so thick and creamy that your spoon will stand up in the cup. Choose from more than 20 flavors.
