This region is located in southeastern Oklahoma and includes towns such as Talihina, Broken Bow, Hochatown, Durant, Smithville, and more. No matter the time of year, this area is filled with majestic beauty, outdoor adventure, charming towns, fantastic food, and impressive lodging options.

A weekend away in this region will relax you in the best way possible. Start with a drive on the Talimena Scenic Byway and visit the charming town of Talihina. Fall is the best time of year to take the drive but it's gorgeous no matter what time of year.

Another fun activity to do in this region is a visit to the Choctaw Cultural Center in Durant. It showcases the history and culture of the Choctaw people and is a very educational place to visit.
