Oklahoma is home to more miles of Route 66 than any other state in the country, with more than 2,400 miles. The small town of Miami is known as the "Gateway" into Oklahoma for all travelers on The Mother Road. It also has the longest Main Street on Route 66.
When traveling down Main Street in Miami, you'll come across a big yellow and green sign and a giant yellow cuckoo bird. It's here where you'll want to pull over for the ultimate burger experience.
Once you order, you'll see just how juicy and delicious their cooked-to-order burgers are. Make sure you order hot and crispy fries and a shake or ice-cream cone to go with your burger.
The interior is uniquely decorated with nostalgic Route 66 memorabilia. Waylan's started as a fast-food chain back in the 1960s and this location in Miami is the only one still standing.
