Oklahomans love good food and they seem to have an affinity for some of the same food combinations. Maybe it’s living in the same part of the country or growing up around the same food types, either way Okies love these strange but delicious mixture of flavors. The Oklahoma and Tulsa State Fairs always bring new food ideas and combinations for Oklahomans to indulge in. Most of them include fried food, bacon or chocolate and end up being a big hit that Oklahomans love. Here are 10 strange food combinations Okies have embraced that will blow you away:

The waffle burger is a burger patty and all the other yummy stuff inside two waffle pieces instead of buns.

A giant gummy bear is deep fried and drizzled with strawberry or cherry sauce, then topped with powdered sugar.

Oklahomans love ranch with everything and fried okra is a favorite in the state.

Combine a glazed donut, peanut butter, bacon, banana and honey, and you get a Monkey Business Donut.

Another deep fried combination that includes bacon, cheddar and mashed potatoes. Any of those ingredients will have Oklahomans drooling.

Try the combination of chicken and waffles on a stick at the fair for a mouthwatering treat. Some people like to drizzle syrups or sorghum on it for added flavor.

You can always find delicious corn at the fair, but look for bacon wrapped corn for a unique taste.

You can't quite describe chocolate and bacon together...you just have to try it.

This unique sweet is actually quite delicious. It is a caramel apple on a stick with added bacon pieces inside the caramel.

The donut burger has grown in popularity over the years in Oklahoma. It is similar to the waffle burger, but is bordered with glazed donuts instead.
