For over 50 year’s Marty Hall has been making delectable fried onion burgers. In 1989 he opened Sid’s Diner in El Reno on Route 66 and has been feeding hungry travelers and locals his famous fried onion burger in his tiny diner. Sid’s Diner has become one of the go-to places in the state for a delectable fried onion burger and after one bit you’ll see why.

The fried onion burger was invented in Oklahoma in 1920 during The Great Depression. Onions were cheap and beef was expensive so people started adding onions to their burgers to cut down on costs. Fast forward a century later and the fried onion burger is still a highly sought-after burger Oklahomas love.

One of the best spots to grab an onion burger is at Sid's Diner in El Reno. They are located at 300 South Choctaw Avenue and are open Monday - Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The burgers are all made with 100% pure beef. You can choose from ¼, ½, or a full pound of meat for your burger. They also come served with tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles on a toasted bun.
