Step Back In Time And Experience An Old-Fashioned Christmas In Oklahoma
Travel back in time and experience an old-fashioned Victorian Christmas in Guthrie during the month of December. Celebrate with friends and family in Oklahoma’s first capital during Territorial Days and attend a Victorian walk while caroling and sipping on hot cocoa, all the while enjoying the festive decorations of downtown Guthrie.
Downtown Guthrie turns into an old-fashioned Chrstmas town during its annual Territorial Christmas Celebration and you don't want to miss it.
On December 9 and 16 attend the "Victorian Walk Evenings" celebration from 5-9 p.m. Visitors can walk the streets and enjoy live carolers dressed in early-1900s costumes.
You'll get to see what life was like in Guthrie during the Territorial Days. Santa and Mrs. Clause will be greeting you and walking the streets of downtown Guthrie.
The town is transformed into a magical place filled with holiday decor and mesmerizing lights. You'll feel like you stepped back in time where life was a bit simpler.
Costumed characters stroll along the streets and make the whole experience an authentic one. You can even buy peanuts from peanut vendors just like they used to during Territorial times.
On December 9 attend the Historic Homes tour where you'll see Guthrie's finest
homes, churches
and the Carnegie
Library dressed for the season and hear stories of their earlier days.
