There’s no doubt about it — Oklahomans are loyal to their favorite eateries. And there’s also no doubt that the tiny but beloved Sid’s Diner in El Reno is worthy of all the love the locals show it. Not only is it famous for the legendary Fried Onion Burger, it’s an all-around fantastic place to dine.

The onions are cooked into the beef patty, and it's absolutely delicious.
It was created in El Reno during that time period out of necessity. Onions were cheap, and meat was expensive, so the onion burger helped stretch the food budget. Of course, those days are long gone, but the delicious fried onion burger remains a local delight.
