If you’re an avid camper, then you’re probably always looking for new places to pitch the tent or park the R.V. One of the best places to go camping is Buzzards Roost – a lakeside campground on the shores of beautiful Lake Murray. Take a look at our new favorite camping destination (and hopefully yours).

Lake Murray has several great campgrounds around the lake but our favorite is Buzzards Roost - located on the on the southwest end of the lake, just south of Lake Murray Marina.

Isn't this the most gorgeous setting to set up camp? The campground is one of the most popular on Lake Murray, as it offers stunning views on all sides.

One of the most spectacular views from the campground is Tucker Tower.

Buzzards Roost is full of amenities, including tent camping, RV camping, fire rings, dump station, restrooms with showers, boat ramp, playground and beautiful views.

Most of the campsites have trees, so there's plenty of shade. The campground is also open year-round, so you can enjoy it during all seasons.

Lake Murray is full of recreational activities. There is an aqua playground, miniature golf, kayaking, wave runners and more.

Lake Murray is a beautiful spring-fed lake and the largest state park in the state.
