Enjoy fresh air and sunshine in the great outdoors at the J.T. Nickel Family Nature and Wildlife Preserve. The Nickel Preserve is the largest privately protected conservation area in the Ozarks. Sitting on more than 17,000 acres in Northeast Oklahoma, this amazing piece of land offers something for anyone that enjoys the great outdoors. Hiking and exploring are two of the most common activities. Swimming in the Illinois River or the Bathtub Rocks crystal clear water is a great way to cool off in the summer heat. All trails are currently open during daytime hours, so gather your friends and family and take a trip — it’s only about an hour east of Tulsa.
