Get ready to celebrate this holiday season in the most magical setting at the Lantern Light Festival in Tulsa. Enjoy an evening of dazzling lights and shapes as you make your way through enormous lanterns and attractions. The festival has already begun and will continue into the New Year.
Check it out below:
The acclaimed Lantern Light Festival is held at River West Festival Park at 2100 South Jackson Avenue in Tulsa. The event will be taking place from now until January 14, 2018.
The festival is a six week celebration of Chinese culture featuring mesmerizing lanterns, performances and delicious cuisine.
The lanterns at this festival do not get released into the sky. They are enormous in size and shape and are firmly tied to the ground. Every lantern is custom built by Chinese artisans and is a work of art.
They range in size from 30 feet to over 300 feet tall and are handmade from hundreds of pieces of silky cloth.
They appear to be three-dimensional stained glass and are absolutely mesmerizing in person. The world’s best lantern-makers display their skills at these various lantern festivals throughout the country. We are so fortunate to have a location this year in Oklahoma...so don't miss it!
Not only will you enjoy an evening full of festive lights and incredible sights, but the event also has dragon rides, mini golf, face painting, inflatables, fireworks, a city maze and more. Check out the dates and times below for more information.
