Located in the extreme Southeast portion of the state, Heavener is just 20 minutes from Poteau and lifetimes away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
This waterfall is the centerpiece of Heavener Runestone Park and one of the more gorgeous displays of nature along the easy half-mile loop trail. No hiking experience needed for this walk - all ages and abilities are welcome and encouraged.
If you are a history buff, there are signs along the path that help explain much of the history that you are literally walking through, which makes this hike even more enjoyable and educational.
