Five Different Planets Will Align In The Oklahoma Night Sky During An Incredibly Rare Display
Get ready to be wowed by the night sky in Oklahoma during the month of June. Five different planets will align in the sky during an incredibly rare display. The event is being described as a “planet parade” and you won’t want to miss this out-of-world experience that will be visible to the naked eye.
Oklahoma has many incredible stargazing spots in the state that draws in thousands of visitors every year. But this year, you don't have to travel to those "special" spots to see an incredibly rare and magical ecliptic event.
And, not only will they line up but they will all be in their respective orders from the sun. They will look like they are close together but in reality, they are millions of miles apart.
If you enjoy epic celestial events, be sure to rise early and see if you can catch a glimpse. They will be visible to the naked eye or bring some binoculars along for a better viewing experience.
June 23-24 are anticipated to be prime viewing opportunities because a crescent moon will be joining the planets and it should be the best time to get a glimpse of Mercury.
