Summer is almost here and it seems like everyone is ready to get back outside and enjoy the great outdoors. This season can be too hot for some hikers but there is a trail in Natural Falls State Park that is mostly shaded that leads to a magnificent hidden oasis – a 77 ft. waterfall. It’s a gorgeous, short hike that is perfect for families.

Natural Falls State Park is located on the Oklahoma/Arkansas border in West Siloam Springs, off of Highway 412 West. It is a picturesque state park boasting a magnificent waterfall, lush greenery, and scenic hiking trails.

The highlight of the park is the 77 ft. waterfall that is only a mile inside the park. You can view the falls from above or below....both of which are stunning.

There is an abundance of easy nature hikes in the park. They are not too long or hard, and they range from easy to moderate.

The hike to the falls can be found along Dripping Springs Trail - a 1.1-mile hike that is rated as moderate. Part of the trail is paved and the rest is gravel and natural surfaces.

Dogs are welcomed but need to be on a leash. The park is open 7 days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
