Oklahoma’s favorite son, Will Rogers, was known throughout the world for his humor and old films. He grew up in Oklahoma on a ranch in the late 1800s and his two-story home still stands today on the land. It’s located on a 400-acre living history ranch in Oologah called Dog Iron Ranch, plus there’s a museum where you can learn, laugh, and be inspired by this beloved Oklahoman. Will Rogers was born in Indian Territory in 1879 and was known as as American cowboy, humorist, actor, and social commentator from Oklahoma. In the 1930s he was the highest paid Hollywood film stars and was hugely popular in the United States.
His family's two-story home was known as the "White House on the Verdigris River" and it still stands today for visitors to see when they tour the ranch. The home is open daily to the public from March 1 - November 10.
