Woolaroc Museum and Wildlife Preserve is a hidden treasure tucked away in the beauty of Osage Hills in northeastern Oklahoma. The ranch began in 1925 as a retreat home for a famous oilman and is now an educational museum and outdoor wildlife preserve.
During the holidays, the ranch puts on quite the celebration with the Wonderland of Lights event. The 2022 dates are November 25 - December 18 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights only from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Woolaroc is home to a variety of animals so be prepared to see bison, elk, deer, and more. The ranch is a 3,700-acre wildlife preserve and some of these animals might even be dressed in holiday decor.
Be sure and stop at the Animal Barn and see some adorable farm animals. The barn stays open during the Celebration of Lights event so don't worry about missing out on seeing them.
There are also free wagon rides and Santa can be found inside the museum on Friday and Sunday nights. Admission is not sold in advance, you'll pay at the gate when you arrive. The gates close at 8:30 p.m. so be sure to arrive before closing time!
