Thousands of people flock to Pawhuska daily to visit The Pioneer Woman Mercantile, but not many people know just down the road is a hidden waterfall that’s truly a beautiful place to visit year-round. The area is known as Bluestem Falls — created by the spillway from Bluestem Lake — and it’s a picture-perfect spot every nature enthusiast should visit. The next time you’re in town to enjoy The Merc, head on over to the falls and enjoy this little slice of heaven right here in the Sooner State.
Located in the prairies of northeastern Oklahoma near Pawhuska is Bluestem Lake — home of Bluestem Falls. This waterfall is created by the Bluestem Lake Spillway as the water cascades over rocks, creating beautiful flowing falls. It’s a picture-perfect spot hiding away that you’ll want to check out.
The falls are surrounded by lush greenery towering overhead. It's a sight to behold. Make sure to bring your camera along because you'll want to photograph this incredible spot.
