Don’t put the camping gear away quite yet! Right now is actually the perfect time of year to set up camp and enjoy a beautiful weekend outdoors in Oklahoma. And boy do we have the perfect place picked out for you. Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Sulphur, Oklahoma is one of the best campings spots in America – full of lush greenery, gorgeous waterfalls and epic scenery. This hidden gem is tucked away in south-central Oklahoma and is an absolutely picturesque spot to enjoy the great outdoors.
Chickasaw National Area has six public campgrounds. Three are located in the Platt Historic District area and the other three are located near Lake of the Arbuckles.
They range from individual sites to larger settings for big groups. Many sites can also fit most large RVs. Imagine waking up to this view while camping at Guy Sandy Campground on Arbuckle Lake.
