If there’s one meal loved by all Oklahomans, it’s got to be our beloved chicken fried steak. Not only is it part of our official state meal, but it’s deep fried, smothered in gravy and goes perfectly with any side dish. Take a look at these 9 reasons why chicken fried steak is Oklahoman’s most beloved food:

1. First and foremost...it's smothered in creamy gravy!

2. It's a versatile meal - You can eat it for breakfast.

3. ...lunch

4. ...and dinner.

5. It's deep fried and oh so yummy!

6. You can find it at almost every diner in Oklahoma.

7. It's neither chicken nor steak, and we're okay with that because it tastes too good to care.

8. The portions are always big enough to fill us up.

9. But most of all it's downright DELICIOUS!
