What should I do for a day trip in Oklahoma?

If anybody ever tries to tell you that Oklahoma is not an interesting or fun place, never talk to them again. You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life, you know? As it turns out, there are plenty of unique, fun, quirky, or otherwise exciting places you can go all over the state, and what’s even better, you can make a day trip out of literally any of them! For example, you could make a whole day out of visiting any one of Oklahoma’s 35 amazing state parks, like the incredible Alabaster Caverns State Park. You could visit Oklahoma City and check out all the things there are to do there, like the Oklahoma City National Memorial, the art museum, and more! Tulsa is another wonderful city that’s a blast to explore, and you could easily create a whole day trip around it. You can drive Historic Route 66 through the state, or you can check out any of our amazing lakes or rivers. For more great ideas, check this article out

What are some fun things to do in Oklahoma?

Like we said a moment ago, never let anyone tell you Oklahoma is boring! There’s plenty to do here, no matter what you’re passionate about. If you’re a fan of the big city, OKC and Tulsa are wonderful; Bricktown is a lot of fun to check out while you’re exploring OKC, and if you’d like to stay the night, you have your pick from several awesome, modern hotels and inns. If you’re a fan of mother nature, Oklahoma is the perfect state for you. As we mentioned above, Oklahoma is home to 35 state parks. There are more than 200 lakes scattered throughout the state, and we boast a mind-blowing 78,603 miles of river. There are hundreds of miles of hiking trails, too, and the fishing, camping, and hunting here is fantastic. There are small towns to fall in love with, caves to explore, and storms to chase (okay… don’t try that one at home). Oklahoma is paradise with a panhandle.
