These Abandoned Places In Oklahoma Are Sadly Beautiful

There’s something interesting about abandoned places that have a story to tell. Unfortunately, we don’t always get to hear their stories. In a way, they’re creepy yet beautiful at the same time. In remembrance of vanishing rural Oklahoma homes and farmsteads, here is a video tribute to them.

These photographs were taken in North Central Oklahoma, primarily in Pawnee, Osage, Kay, Payne, Grant, Creek and Lincoln counties.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

Do you recognize any of these places in the video?  If you have a story to tell about any of them, please share it in the comments below.
