If you’ve ever heard of an elusive “Corkscrew Falls” hiding in the Hocking Hills region of Ohio, you should know that it does in fact exist—but it goes by a different name and it’s only accessible after you’ve obtained a permit. Boch Hollow State Nature Preserve is home to this wondrous waterfall that once existed on private property, tucked away from the public eye. Today, lucky Ohio explores can view this stunning natural wonder. Here’s how:

Robinson Falls, (which is more commonly known as "Corkscrew Falls"), can only be viewed once you've obtained a permit.

Note: Permits can take up to 30 days to process, so plan your visit accordingly. To request a permit online, click here.
From a distance, you might not notice the corkscrew flow of these 10-foot falls, but the closer you get to the falls along the stream bank, the more you'll see it—especially after heavy rainfall.
