Hiding underneath the four-lane South Academy Street Bridge – and no more than 1,000 feet north of Falls Park – is another, more whimsical park, custom designed to enrich creativity in the minds of children. But aren’t we all just big kids?

When most people hear "children's park," images of swing sets and jungle gyms come to mind. But Linky Stone Park: The Children's Garden couldn't be any further from the typical children's park.

Using a series of delightful vignettes, the park includes a number of interactive displays featuring familiar images, like those found in the Peter Rabbit garden space.

Linky Stone Park encompasses 1.7 acres underneath and around the base of the bridge and creates a wonderful arena in which to get lost for a few moments or more, either while meandering along the Greenville Health System Swamp Rabbit Trail, or purely as a destination unto itself.

Linky Stone Park: A Children’s Garden is open year-round and has no designated parking lot or facilities, but parking is available nearby. The park is always open, but we suggest between dawn and dusk is best. The next time you’re visiting Falls Park on the Reedy and the Liberty Bridge, pop onto the Swamp Rabbit Trail and check out this wonderful park only a few blocks north and located right on the trail.
