If you have a waterfall bucket list for Ohio, this one belongs at the top.

It’s best to visit the falls after a heavy rainfall, but all throughout the year this waterfall flows pretty powerfully.

If you’d rather not take the 1.75-mile hike to the falls, you can drive to the upper and lower boardwalks, which are located just off of Brandywine Road.

Note: A boardwalk option without stairs is also available. To view a map of the area in a separate tab or window, click here.

Near the falls, the 1.5-mile Brandywine Gorge Trail allows you to explore beyond the waterfall and see other views of the creek.
