The Little Known College Town In Ohio You’ll Want To Spend More Time In

It’s no secret that Ohio is home to some really charming small towns. (Be sure to check out this list.)

Oberlin is arguably one of Ohio’s most underrated and overlooked towns. It’s not just a college town; it’s also a beautiful place to live that’s strong in its roots—and it makes for the perfect day trip destination. Take a look:

This progressive little town of approximately 8,400 residents has a close-knit community, a rich history and a lively arts and cultural scene.

In 2012, it was voted one of the state’s "Best Hometowns" by Ohio Magazine. It's a lovely town to visit and the perfect place to call home.
Home to the private liberal arts college, Oberlin College, this town has always been a leader in societal progress.

In fact, Oberlin College was the first American higher education institution to admit female and black students.
Today, it's a safe haven for creative souls to blossom. (Neighborhood art such as knit graffiti is a common sight to see here.)

There's always some sort of community event going on. After you've toured the beautiful college campus, take a look at what's going on around town.
While you're in town, be sure to check out the recently renovated 1913 art-deco movie house. It's a neat piece of history you need to see.
