If you’ve ever heard of “Hidden Falls” along the Old Man’s Cave trails within Hocking Hills State Park, you should know that it does, in fact, exist—and it’s probably a lot easier to find than you think. Located no more than 50 yards from Cedar Falls, a little-known, seasonal (and off the map) waterfall is hidden behind a boulder. To find it, keep reading:
The easiest way to find this waterfall is to park at the Cedar Falls Trailhead, which is right by the Suspension Bridge (pictured.)

To the left of the bridge, you'll spot the start of the trail and find signs pointing toward Cedar Falls.

...and eventually stumble upon more signs leading the way.

To your left, you'll notice a large boulder in the gorge behind some trees, and that's what keeps the waterfall hidden.

A beaten path off the dirt staircase (to the left) leads the way to the waterfall.

(If you're coming up the stairs from the other direction, follow the beaten path to the right just past this marked tree stump.)

It's a slightly tricky walk down, but as long as you're careful, it's not too dangerous—and you don't have to stray very far from the trail at all.

To your left, you'll find a clearing with a small pool where the water from the falls collects.

Since this is a seasonal waterfall, sometimes all you'll find is a trickle of water...

...but after heavy rainfall (especially in the spring season), you'll uncover this gem, known as "Hidden Falls."
