Have you ever thought about what the healthiest cities and counties are in Ohio? According to CountyHealthRankings.org, the following 15 counties are the healthiest in Ohio. Data is based on a variety of health factors and health outcomes, including; length of life, quality of life, health behaviors, clinical care, physical environment and social and economic factors. These health factors and health outcomes were calculated via percentages of premature deaths, obesity, smoking, food environment index, excessive drinking, access to exercise opportunities, health insurance, health care providers, number of poor physical health days, unemployment, income inequality, violent crime, air pollution, drinking water violations and many others.
Out of Ohio's 88 counties, Delaware ranked no. 1 in length of life and no. 3 in quality of life. In terms of health factors, Delaware ranked no. 1 in health behaviors, no. 1 in clinical care, no.1 in social and economic factors and no.55 in physical environment.
Putnam County ranked no. 7 in length of life and no. 1 in quality of life. In terms of health factors, Putnam ranked no. 24 in health behaviors, no. 13 in clinical care, no. 2 in social and economic factors and no. 59 in physical environment.
Geauga County ranked no. 3 in length of life and no. 2 in quality of life. In terms of health factors, Geauga ranked no. 3 in health behaviors, no. 9 in clinical care, no. 8 in social and economic factors and no. 61 in physical environment.
