The Most Criminally Overlooked Town In Ohio And Why You Need To Visit
It’s no secret that Ohio is home to some pretty awesome small towns and cities. In fact, there’s so many that we wanted to add one more to your bucket list of Ohio towns you need to visit in 2017.
Oberlin is arguably one of Ohio’s most underrated and overlooked towns. It’s a charming place to live that’s strong in its roots—and it makes for the perfect day trip destination. Here’s why we think Oberlin is Ohio’s most criminally overlooked town and why you need to visit:
This progressive little town of approximately 8,400 residents has a close-knit community, a rich history and a lively arts and cultural scene.
Home to the private liberal arts college, Oberlin College, this town has always been a leader in societal progress. In fact, Oberlin College was the first American higher education institution to admit female and black students.
The farmers market is a great way to get a taste of the town's culture. (Both literally and figuratively.) During the season, you'll find it open every Saturday downtown, in front of the Oberlin Public Library.
