Zip lining is like enjoying a playground up in the trees. Using the gear provided, you will zip from tree to tree and go through obstacles on your way.
You will glide over streams and ravines and enjoy tall old trees as your cross through the sky bridges. This is a very fun way to discover Columbus’s nature.
There are several ways to experience this adventure. With a Zip Lining Tour your group (3 to 8 people) will be guided through the course by knowledgeable guides.
You can also enjoy special tours including the Full Moon Tour and the Halloween-themed Freaky Flights Tour. Costs for the tours vary from $46 to $71.
At the Adventure Park you can experience self-guided zip lining and set your own pace. Guides will show you how to properly use the equipment before you set out.
The Adventure Park is available to all ages with a kids course for the little ones, mid-level trails, and black diamond challenges for the extra thrill seekers. Costs for the Adventure Park are $38-$46 depending on age.
Zip lining isn’t as physically demanding as you might think. You can easily find an easier course if you’re not up for a big challenge.
The minimum requirements needed to participate are that you are able to perform physical activity like climbing stairs, crossing bridges, walking short distances over uneven terrain, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
For your safety there is a weight restriction of 270 lbs. To participate on the guided tours kids must be at least 7 year old and weigh at least 50 lbs.
At the Adventure Park you will find trails marked with colors that indicate difficulty. A handy chart is provided to choose the best course for your child.
If you’re not sure about heights, don’t worry. You can start with courses close to the ground and work your way up if you feel up to it.
You are welcome to bring a camera, however, make sure you can strap it to yourself or safely put it in a pocket.
If you’re going on a guided tour, the guides will be snapping photos so you don’t have to worry about it. You can also rent a GoPro HD to document your adventure.
All guests need to make reservations. You can do so online or by calling ZipZone Outdoor Adventures.
