It’s no secret that many famous movies were shot in and around Cleveland, but one visit to this unforgettable Tremont home just five minutes from downtown will be the experience of a lifetime for any movie buffs in the Forest City.
A Christmas Story House and Museum acts as a year-round tribute to the beloved holiday classic and Cleveland movie history landmark.
The house was painstakingly remodeled to replicate the home seen in the film. No detail, no matter how slight, was overlooked in bringing this iconic movie setting to life.
The Cleveland home that was used as the setting for A Christmas Story was purchased by fans of the film in 2004. The dedicated movie buffs set to work recreating the movie's iconic locale.
Everything from the legendary leg lamp to Ralphie's carefully-wrapped Red Ryder BB gun is faithfully recreated and sits exactly where it was seen in the movie.
Every room in the interior looks just like the 1940s setting of the film, with period-appropriate decorations and products scattered around to make the experience even more immersive and authentic.
In addition to the house itself, everything else on the property has been done over to look just like you remember it in the film. There is an A Christmas Story museum across the street containing other rarities like costumes and props.
This iconic house is an incredibly detailed slice of movie history hidden on a regular Cleveland street, and visiting it in person will make this legendary film even more magical.
