This Epic Snow Tubing Hill Near Cleveland Will Give You The Winter Thrill Of A Lifetime
Now that the frost has set in across Northeast Ohio and snow is in the foreseeable forecast, locals are gearing up for wintertime adventure. All across the state are spectacular attractions that will keep cabin fever from setting in, but some of the best are just around the corner from Cleveland. Hiking, sledding, and skiing are incredible ways to beat the wintertime blues, but nothing is quite like a snow tubing experience. For the winter adventure of a lifetime, you have to experience Polar Blast.
You may have heard the name "Brandywine" in connection with skiing...
Boston Mills and Brandywine are partner ski resorts whose slopes entertain the most adventurous locals. The resorts have a combined total of 18 runs of various skill levels, allowing for ski and snowboarding experiences that are just right for you.
...or, perhaps you have heard of it in relation to Alpine Valley in Chesterland.
As the oldest public ski resort in the region, Alpine Valley is a longtime favorite of many locals. And, as it is located in the snow belt, it receives an incredible amount of natural snowfall. It is operated alongside Boston Mills and Brandywine, and like Brandywine, it hides an incredible secret.
At both Brandywine and Alpine Valley, you can experience snow like never before.
Snow tubing is similar to sledding, but it's much cooler. These slick tubes zip down specially designed lanes, taking adventurous visitors on a fast-paced ride.
The resorts don't even need Mother Nature's cooperation to operate.
Snowmakers supply the resorts with man-made snow, allowing them to operate even when winter does not deliver. As this photo demonstrates, an evening at the resort is breathtaking.
You can check out Polar Blast snow tubing at Brandywine on most Thursdays through Sundays, or at Alpine Valley on most Fridays through Sundays. However, hours vary during holidays and the lanes do need occasional maintenance, so always check to see if the tubing park is open prior to driving to the resort.
No skills are required, so beginners and expert snow tubers alike will love this experience.
After you race down the hill, a conveyor belt will carry you back up it again. You may also like the snack bar, grown up drinks, and hot drinks that will warm you right up.
Snow starts to feel bland after so many cold Cleveland winters, but this can make it feel magical again.
This one incredible experience in Northeast Ohio will make snow feel magical again and will delight your inner child. Who knew such adventure was just around the corner?!
