Hale Farm & Village Near Cleveland Throws The Most Magical Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration
Longing for an old fashioned Christmas? Our local living history museum knows how to put on a season of celebration. Each year, Holiday Lantern Tours at Hale Farm & Village are quaint and magical in the best kind of way. This sprawling outdoor museum consists of historic structures and demonstrations that will take you back to the 19th century. This event will fill you up with the warm and fuzzy feeling, but don’t forget to bundle up!

This charming historic village was founded and is managed by the Western Reserve Historical Society. Wheatfield, its living history museum community, offers visitors a hands-on opportunity to get to know the local landscape. All in all, the farm consists of 90 acres and 32 historic structures. Each year, they offer a charming lantern-lit tour of their grounds during the holiday season.

Not only will you get to explore the features beloved by the public in the warmer months, but you'll also enjoy a hands-on opportunity to get to know the holidays of yore. During this event, you'll visit some of the loveliest buildings on campus, and they'll be decked out with boughs of holly and more. Authentic and quaint decorations will warm your heart and lift your spirits. From decorated hearths to charming trees, there's much to see that will take you right back to the 19th century.

Perhaps most enchanting is the opportunity to chat with the actors at Hale Farm & Village. These knowledgeable individuals will tell you all about the holiday traditions of yesteryear, and they'll offer jaw-dropping demonstrations and storytelling.

What more could you ask for?! Tickets are $20 for non-members, $15 for members, and $12 for children ages 3 to 12. Reservations are required, so be sure to book your tour in advance.

You never know what the weather will be like! The event runs for several nights each year, so keep the weather in mind when selecting the best date for your family.
