Hiking season is upon us here in The Land, and there are countless gorgeous trails for locals to explore. However, if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, there’s only one trail that allows you to traverse the length of Lake Erie’s southern shore and keep marching all the way to New York on a scenic and uninterrupted byway. Have you ever heard of such a trail? Get ready, because you’re going to want to explore at least a portion of this incredible gem.
Welcome to the Lake Erie Coastal Ohio Trail Scenic Byway, a 293-mile long trail that stretches from Toledo to Conneaut.
Perhaps what is most remarkable is that although the trail ends at the Ohio border, it connects to the Pennsylvania Seaway Trail, which helps to create an uninterrupted 805-mile byway.
