On the First Responders Memorial Trailhead, visitors will find an incredible memorial that contains a 17-foot-tall steel beam from the World Trade Center. Visitors are stunned by this structure, but as it turns out, several village residents volunteered (and some lost their lives) on 9/11.

This community was incorporated in 1921, having previously existed as a part of the now-defunct Mayfield Township. The community historically catered to farmers, though Mayfield Village has since grown to become the headquarters of the Progressive Corporation⁠—you know, the insurance company responsible for bringing us Flo.
