We’re so lucky to live in the vibrant, bustling, beautiful city of Cleveland! You might be familiar with some of Cleveland’s neighborhoods, but how would you like a backstage pass to explore them even more in depth? And…how does free sound? Take a look, and “Take a Hike!”

The 2017 Take A Hike tour season just kicked off May 16th and runs through September 17th.

Cleveland's Warehouse District has a unique past and a vibrant present. Take the Warehouse District Tour, which meets at Constantino's Market every Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm. You'll find Constantino's at 1278 West 9th Street. This tour takes you through the garment district and past some of the Victorian-style homes in Cleveland's first neighborhood. The preservation and revitalization of this district means tons of restaurants, cafes and an exciting nightlife. Plan to spend some time after your tour, enjoying a meal.

This tour is offered every Saturday at 10:00 am. Meet in the Arcade at 401 Euclid Avenue. Your tour guide will treat you to tons of fun information about the architecture of The Arcade, East 4th Street and the 5th Street Arcades. You'll also learn about the history of the Woolworth's, Krege's, Rose's Folly and six Gateway District hotels.

Cleveland's history is interesting... and even a bit salty. Meet your tour guide in the Flat Iron Cafe at 1114 Center Street on Sundays at 10:00 am. You'll hear some fascinating and entertaining stories about Moses Cleveland, the B&O Railroad and the bridges of the Cuyahoga River. This outdoor tour offers some beautiful views, so make sure to have your camera ready.

Meet your tour guide at the State Theater at 1519 Euclid Avenue on Thursdays at 6:00 pm for a free tour of the Playhouse Square neighborhood. Get familiar with the State Theater (the second largest performing arts theater in the United States!), then take a tour of Euclid Avenue, where you'll see some of the grand old department stores and social clubs.

When you meet up with your tour group at Old Stone Church Tuesdays at 6:00 pm, be prepared to see some of Cleveland's most charming public spaces. Explore the beautiful Veteran's Memorial Plaza (pictured here), as well as the historic Old Stone Church and the Civic Center. You'll also gain a little bit of insight about some of Cleveland's public buildings, such as the Cuyahoga County Courthouse and Public Auditorium.
